Refrigerant Recovery Storage System Used In Katif Oil Field
Katif is a coastal city of the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, located within the Seferwa Oasis. It produced oil in the 1940s and is still known for its oil production, covering an area of more than 500 square kilometers. Including coastal drilling, it can produce 800,000 barrels of crude oil and 37 million cubic meters of natural gas a day.
In 2022, the construction unit of Katif Oilfield needs to maintain the existing regional cooling system, and the refrigerant recovery machine needs to quickly recover the 12 tons of refrigerant in the unit. After multi-party communication and comparison, CM become the main supplier of this project
After a detailed understanding of the technical parameters of the system, the technical team designed a large refrigerant recovery storage system composed of 57m³ / h large exhaust compressor and 15m³ ASME storage tank, 12 tons R134A can be recovered within 3 hours. Because the project is applied in the seaside, the product surface and all pipelines in the interior are treated by special coating, which can cope with all-weather salt spray erosion and use for 15-20 years.
